Chennai Metro to begin construction of multi-storey building at Arumbakkam station
Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) will begin construction of a multi-storey building at the Arumbakkam Metro Rail station. CMRL is focusing on building high-rise structures near stations to increase ridership and revenue through office spaces and retail options. This building, behind the Arumbakkam station, will include a basement, parking levels, and seven... floors: four for commercial spaces (retail, food) and three for offices. The project will occupy 1,660.34 sq. m of land. CMRL is also planning similar projects at Saidapet and already has an office building at Ekkatuthangal.
