In a significant move to promote digital ticket booking, Indian Railways will offer a 3% direct financial discount to passengers booking general tickets through the Rail One mobile app. This initiative, starting from January 14, 2026, will be applicable for six months. Pooja Mittal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Jaipur, stated... that this discount applies to general tickets booked using all digital payment methods except R-Wallet. Bookings via R-Wallet will continue to receive the existing 3% bonus cashback. The aim is to encourage digital ticketing, enhance convenience, and increase transparency for passengers. This scheme will be valid till July 14, 2026.
