On Monday morning, a technical issue occurred at the Noapara car shed, causing a disruption in Metro services from Dum Dum to Dakshineswar for approximately an hour. The issue prevented the movement of metro rakes within the car shed, delaying services. Consequently, commuters faced inconvenience. Metro authorities have announced that services... have been restored. Additionally, from Monday onwards, there will be an increase in metro services, including extended operating hours. The Sealdah to Salt Lake Green Line will have one extra train, bringing the total to 108 trains (up and down combined), compared to the previous 106. Starting November 11th, the first metro from Sealdah towards Salt Lake will depart at 6:35 AM instead of 6:55 AM, and the first metro from Salt Lake towards Sealdah will depart at 6:40 AM instead of 7:00 AM. The Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake route will see an increase from 130 to 134 trains, with services commencing at 6:30 AM instead of 7:00 AM. The first metro from Howrah Maidan to Esplanade and Esplanade to Howrah Maidan will also start at 6:30 AM. No changes have been made to the night metro schedule, with the last metro departing at 9:45 PM from both directions. The Purple Line (Joka to Majerhat) will also increase its number of trains, from 72 to 80. The first metro from Joka towards Majerhat will depart at 6:50 AM instead of 8:00 AM, and from Majerhat, it will depart at 7:14 AM instead of 7:57 AM. The last metro from Joka will depart at 8:36 PM instead of 8:15 PM.
