Passengers aboard the Mau-Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminal train (number 01124) protested due to malfunctioning air conditioning. They created disturbances at Jaunpur, Varanasi, and finally Prayagraj Chheoki stations. The irate passengers, suffering from the heat, pulled the chain at Chheoki around 6:30 PM and demanded the AC be fixed. Despite the technical... team's efforts for about four hours, the AC could not be repaired. The train was finally able to depart at 10:15 PM after the passengers were pacified.
