To facilitate passengers, the Railways has decided to operate a special train between Howrah and New Delhi. This train will travel via Gaya, Koderma, DDU, Bhabua Road, Sasaram, and Dehri On Sone. According to the Railways, this special train will operate in two trips due to increased passenger demand in recent... times. The first trip will be from New Delhi to Howrah. Train number 04462, the New Delhi-Howrah Special, will depart on December 10, 2025. On the return journey, train number 04461, the Howrah-New Delhi Special, will operate on December 12, 2025. Both trains will halt at scheduled stations along their routes. This will provide direct convenience to passengers from Gaya and surrounding districts during this travel season. The East Central Railway (ECR) is consistently taking action against individuals illegally stopping trains by unauthorized chain pulling. Under 'Operation Time Compliance,' strict surveillance is being maintained. In November, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) apprehended 1003 people across various ECR sections for chain pulling without valid reasons, leading to action under... Section 141 of the Railway Act. The Danapur division recorded the highest number of arrests at 405, followed by Samastipur (249), Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay (135), Sonpur (111), and Dhanbad (103). Regarding women's safety, 'Operation Women's Security' targeted male passengers traveling in women's compartments. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the 47-kilometer metro line between Indore and Ujjain is ready. This includes a 4-kilometer underground section. The Rail Passenger Welfare Committee inspected basic amenities at Turiaganj and Dumraon railway stations on Wednesday as per a pre-scheduled program. Deficiencies were found at both stations. At Turiaganj, drinking water and toilet facilities were in poor condition. The committee demanded the stoppage of Patna-Buxar Fast Passenger, Tatanagar-Buxar Express, Farakka Express, and Vibhuti Express. They also requested timely operation of passenger trains. At Dumraon, the foot overbridge was narrow and dilapidated, and cleanliness was poor. The committee demanded the establishment of a new foot overbridge and the installation of coach indicators. They also requested regular stops for the Patna-Mathura-Kota Express and stops for Sanghamitra Express, Patna-Kurla Express, Jansadharan Express, and Patna-Lokmanya Tilak Superfast Express. Furthermore, they demanded transparency in the vehicle stand's rental fees and the acceleration of work under the Amrit Bharat Station Development Scheme. During the inspection, National President Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh stated that the inspection program would continue until December 14th.
