Pilgrims travelling to Jammu for the Amarnath Yatra have increased the waiting list for trains. The waiting began in the last week of June and continues through the first week of July. The Amarnath Yatra is scheduled from July 9th to August 9th. Due to concerns about the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, pilgrims were hesitant to book reservations. After the ceasefire, vacant seats started filling up, leading to full trains by the first week of July. The rush to book tickets has created this situation. The Sealdah Express from Kolkata to Jammu has been on a waiting list since June 25th, with no available seats before July 11th. The Himgiri Express also has no confirmed tickets from the last week of June to the first week of July. The Begampura Express has a waiting list of 25 for July 9th, with waiting lists also present on previous days. The Lohit Express has 30 waiting list in sleeper class on July 8th, with no confirmed tickets in third and second AC classes. Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) has secured clearance to acquire 5,800 square meters of land for building 10 stations in the Gurugram Metro Phase 1 project. GMRL is awaiting a no-objection certificate from Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to utilize the land for station construction. They've submitted station drawings to HSVP.... The Majlis Park-Jagatpur village section of the under-construction Majlis Park-Maujpur metro line (Phase 4) is ready for operation. The Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMRS) completed safety checks approximately a month ago. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is expected to announce the launch date soon. This 4.6 km section includes three... stations: Burari, Jharoda Majra, and Jagatpur village. The inspection in the second week of April assessed platforms, control rooms, tracks, and signal systems. Good news for passengers of the Purple Line Metro from Joka to Majerhat! The Metro authorities have announced that from May 13th, the number of daily trains on this route will increase from 40 to 62. Currently, trains operate between Joka and Majerhat. To benefit passengers, the number of... Metro trains will increase starting Tuesday. Out of the 62 trains, 31 will run on the Up line and 31 on the Down line. Trains will run every 24 minutes. Currently, from Monday to Friday, there are 20 trains Up and 20 trains Down, totaling 40 Metro services. There are no Metro services on Saturdays and Sundays.
